In 1865 Jacques Blockx, a wealthy chemist, went to work for his painter friends to produce colors that were not available. His goal was to make colors that would bring forth brilliant, lasting results with a strong paint film.
Today his great grandson, Jacques Blockx IV, carries the family name with the same uncompromising dedication to quality. He says of his family's watercolors: "I guarantee maximum stability against light, of all my shades, which will insure, through time, your talent as a watercolor painter through your works of art". |
