Watercolor paint tubes, pans, sets, and liquids
You probably remember using watercolor paints in grade school. It is the most popular paint with the grade school teacher, as it leaves minimal mess and clean up. Some artists find watercolors particularly nice when trying to gain a more subtle look to an image. These paints work best on plain paper. Watercolor painting ("aquarelle" in French) has been popular around the world since Egyptian times. Watercolor paints are made of pigments suspended in a water soluble medium, usually gum arabic. Watercolor paints are typically available in tubes, in which the paints are already moist; or in pans, with which the artist wets the paint on a palette.
