These scrolls are made in a small village in China by a collective of master paper makers and artists that each posses special techniques that have been passed down for generations. Modern Sizing - The scroll is still long and vertical but the painting size is a square which is centered on the base material.

Traditional Sizing - Generally, scrolls are long and vertical in appearance. We offer four of these sizes.

Xian Scrolls - Feature special heavyweight natural white rice paper. These scrolls are perfect for ink, traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy techniques and sketching with dry media. These scrolls feature Jade colored silk base material.

Shian Scrolls - Feature special acid-free Lei River silk paper for use with all water-based media including oriental colors, traditional watercolors, egg tempera and thinned acrylics. This silk paper takes color beautifully for breathtaking results. These scrolls feature Jasper colored silk base material.
