Holbein Oil Pastel Deluxe Wood Box Sets

In the beginning oil pastels were a forgotten medium. Most artists would simply sketch with them, but Holbein's oil pastels have changed that. In addition to having all the advantages of oil pastels, rich colors won't dust, crumble or break or fly away, and they may be mixed dry or with linseed oil. They're made like the finest colors with pure pigments. They are suspended in mineral oil which is inert and therefore will never dry. Fixing a finished painting is unnecessary as it will only detract from the vigor of the pigments. Such paintings should be mounted behind glass instead. 

These pastels provide brilliant results for serious pastel or oil painting on paper or canvas. These large square sticks are easy to hold and to use. Holbein Oil Pastels maintain the qualities of other professional pastels while offering colors that are resistant to breakage and chipping.
