The extraordinary palette of the Williamsburg line includes Native Italian Earth Colors which were formerly only used by conservators. They are the same pigments used by the great Sienese and Florentine masters coming from regions of Italy made famous for these pigments.
Permanent Crimson is an absolutely permanent, lightfast substitute for Alizarin Crimson. Cadmium Yellow Extra Deep fills the gap between Cadmium Yellow Deep and Cadmium Orange. Cobalt Yellow is a transparent yellow like the yellow in some of Turner’s skies. Cerulean Blue French is slightly greener and deeper than the traditional color.
Other fascinating and unique colors include Montserrat Orange, Alizarin Yellow, Fanchon Red, Prazolone Red Scarlet, Persian Rose, Dianthus Pink, Provence Violet Reddish and Bluish, Perylene Crimson, Quinacridone Brown, Dutch Brown, Unbleached Titanium Pale, Slate Black, Cold Black, Turkey Umber, Yellow Ochre Burnt, Green Gold, and German Earth.
