Taking off where the Logan 301S left off, this Logan Mat Cutter allows you to cut bevel mats up to 40" in size in just one pass. The particleboard base has a tan colored veneer and it too features a high quality aluminum guide rail that allows both the straight and beveled cutting heads to hook on for simple and sure cuts.
The built-in parallel mat guide allows you to set border width from ½" to 4¼" wide without the need of any other measuring device. Just pull on the adjustment knobs, set the border width and release.
The 450's aluminum guide rail is serrated on its underside which keeps mat board from moving during the cutting process. The Bevel cutting head has an anti-crawl device that prevents forward creeping of the cutting head during blade insertion and a start and stop indicator line. A new thumb knob makes cutting over long periods of time less fatiguing.
The straight cutting head has an ergonomic 3" handle and three depth settings for cutting from light papers to foam boards. The 90 degrees squaring bar is mounted to the cutter and insures that your cutting board is square at all times. Scaled production stops allow for simple repetitive cutting of mat openings.
