In developing our line of foam board we went to the artist and framer and asked them what they wanted. Above anything else they wanted a board that was acid free so they could use it with their original artwork. They wanted a board that allows for mounting without difficulties and the ability to be cut cleanly and bounce back from the compression of the cut. Pro-Foam does this remarkably well. Within the line there are many variations as outlined below.
White 1/8" (3mm) board - The best value when the mount is only for picture framing.
White 3/16" (5mm) board - The most popular for various matting and presentation useages.
White 3/8" (10mm) board - Used behind pre-cut mats to add depth and for various presentation techniques.
Black 3/16" (5mm) board - Gaining wide popularity because of its professional finish. Some artists use this board as an interior mat to gain depth.
Fushion IT - This self adhesive board allows for quick work for mounting ink jet print. Since the adhesive is not reversible we suggest that it be limited for use with print.
Fushion HC -This is a dry mount board for basic framing of posters and prints with a dry mounting press.
PE Outdoor Board - This PE coated board is for mounting that will be displayed outdoors. It is sold only in 3/8" (10mm) thickness and in larger sizes.
Special Sizes - Jerry's Acid-Free Pro-Foam is a money saver in two ways. The first is basic pricing but the second is the availabiltiy of the 36×48" size. See below for even standard sizes for each board. - 32×40" - 8×10", 16×20"
- 36×48" - 9×12", 12×16", 18×24", 24×36"
