When we first looked at this easel we almost thought it was a joke. In front of us where two pieces of wood 12" long with a notch cut out at an angle. It also said patent pending and we thought what can you possibly do with these. Then we took a 24×24" The Edge 3/4" stretched canvas and placed it in the right and left easel section. We were truly amazed. It actually supported the canvas very well. An unlikely design that now had important implications.
Not only can you use the Overby as great table easel anywhere; but it is also fantastic for display of "edge to edge" paintings and can be a great choice for easels for kids. The rubber pads at the base really kept this easel in place and even firm brush strokes could be made as solidly as with other tabletop easels.
