Jullian Original and Half Box French Easels

The original traveling studio for oil colors, watercolors, pastels or drawing gear was created by Roger Jullian more than half a century ago. This marvelous easel folds to a sketchbox size and opens up in just moments to form a full easel. Its three legs telescope for use sitting down or flat. Includes a linen shoulder strap, chrome lined and divided sketch box, finished wood palette, built-in canvas carrying clips, shoulder strap rings and a leather handle. It will accept canvas or paper up to 32" high.

Although knock-off models look the same they just don't  measure up. The Jullian uses only naturally dried white beech wood. This wood will turn a golden brown color and is perfect for an outdoor easel. Jullian uses only heavy duty brass hardware not tin plated brass that wears off. Jullian assembles the easel with rivets (not screws like other manufacturers) so parts don't fall off—a problem when screws loosen.
