Larger sizes are braced to remain stable providing a rigid support for your paintings. Hand stretched onto the back of kiln dried stretcher bars these canvases are key-able for tightening and re-stretchable if you wish to for any reason. 3/4" is fine for most techniques while the 1.5" has a wide edge that may be painted for frame-less presentation and features a beefier stretcher suitable for larger size works.
