With Atelier Interactive Professional Artists' Acrylic paint, you control your painting process, rather than the acrylics controlling you. Atelier Interactive is the very first 21st century acrylic that lets you choose to use old, fast-drying techniques, or new, slow-drying techniques, at any time during the painting process! Quite simply, Atelier Interactive is designed for all artists that want to take their acrylic experience further with more creative freedom.
If you want to paint fast, that's no problem. After your painting is touch-dry, use traditional acrylic painting techniques. These intense highly pigmented acrylics produce vivid results and dry to the touch in just a few minutes. If you want to work wet-in-wet for blending or feathering, simply use your water sprayer or use a wet brush to rehydrate your artwork during a typical painting session, when you feel your paint get tacky. Water will typically reopen your touch dry layers during a painting session. But if it doesn't, or it's the next day, or even days later, use a medium called Unlocking Formula to reopen those layers to blend and develop your painting wet-in-wet. Atelier Interactive generally cures in about 10-14 days, depending relative humidity, the types of mediums used and the thickness of the paint. We recommend waiting to varnish until the paint is fully cured.
