The World of Fakes, Forgeries and Trickery by M Theresa Brown

Sometimes, in the course of creating art, it's fun to put down the paintbrush and delve into the little known realms of art history. I did just that when I came across an excellent article on "Varsity," an online publication from Cambridge University in the UK. The article "Faking it" is a well written and enlightening take on the world of forgeries and fakes in the Art world. Collecting Art by Deb Bartos

n addition to creating art, I have slowly and affordably collected art from other artists over the past 20 years. It has been a wonderful thing to do and every piece tells a story. I've collected work that is practical. These items include a hand-blown vase to hold my flowers, a welded sculpture to hold my keys, soap dishes to hold my soap, stained glass nightlights, jewelry and scarves, clothing to wear, you get the idea. Making a Statement on eBay by Miles Wickham

  I posted a piece of art on Ebay at $21 Million "or best offer," as a suggestion by a friend to get more traffic to my page. A couple of days later, after a long hard 13 hour day at work, coming in and out of flu symptoms, I come home at 2am to see someone has made an offer on the piece.
