Life can be full in our fast paced life filled to the brim with information.  In this, I find myself drawn to the simple things. I love small but abundant answers to complicated questions. The Reflexions Pocket Journal is just one of those answers. The 3.5″ x 5.5″ size is just right. It is small enough to fit into my bag or even a pocket. I can take it along wherever I go so when I have an unexpected time of waiting or down time, I can work on creative ideas.

Graphite Pencils

The paper is conducive to work with dry media like graphite, colored pencil, and markers. I was even successful using watercolor pencils and markers.  I did find that a modest use of water was the best route. Unlike other brands of similar pocket journals, the Reflexions Pocket Journal paper is not coated. The absence of coating allows the paper to work with various types of artist’s pencils rather than against them.  I was very pleased with this.

The stitched binding allows the journal to lie flat so that you can work on 1 page or 2 open pages. This gives your a wider spread at 7″ x 5.5″. The cover is a sturdy heavy card stock with a pocket in the back.

Colored Pencils

I always keep a small journal and a tiny drawing kit with me wherever I go. I will truly enjoy using this Reflexions Pocket Journal.
