I thought so too…yet I couldn’t find a workstation that was both functional and aesthetically pleasing. After 30 years of storing supplies on a variety of tables strewn about my workspace, I became convinced that there must be a better way. 

The Todd Reifers Signature Workstation is not just another taboret made of plywood and designed by a non-artist with no insight into the need for function. I knew my needs, but also surveyed other artists. For example, many artists paint in a spare bedroom or other area open to viewing by family and guests. They expressed the need for a workstation that appears to be another piece of furniture when not in use. Many who paint in a large studio said they need a logical way to get organized. Regardless of where the artist paints, there was a common concern to contain those offensive fumes from oil paints. I combined these concepts with my own to create an attractive, functional workstation to serve as the perfect companion to an easel. After extensive use of the workstation’s prototype, I found that it performs far better than any other system with everything at my fingertips in one easily movable location.
