Jacquard Fabric Paints and Art Materials
The Katz family started a company called Rupert, Gibbon & Spider, Inc in their garage to be a distributor for Deka products. The company quickly changed in the late 1980s as they started manufacturing their own art supplies under the name Jacquard Products. Their first product was Red Label Silk Colors Dyes, which were invented as a response to the silk-painting trend at the time. As the years went on, Jacquard continuously expanded their product lines, seeing “holes” in the market, then making their own products to fill those holes. Some examples of these additions are tie-dye kits and even henna kits! Today, Jacquard is perhaps the most famous textile color company, manufacturing over 20 color lines! Jacquard continues to supply artists all over the world with unique art supplies made with high quality materials.
