Claessens Linen Canvas Rolls
In the early 1900’s as more and more amateurs began painting, the need for canvas that was already prepared skyrocketed. Since he was close to the River Leie and the Flax District of Waregem, Belgium, Victor Claessens new he could develop a quality canvas that artists would love. Over a century later, Victor’s family is still operating in the same original building in Waregem. His descendants run a small operation to ensure the traditional methods of treating a canvas are not sacrificed. This unique attention to detail in today’s modern, fast-paced world, has made Claessens a well respected household name in the art industry.
