Printmaking materials and DVDs made specifically for use with Akua Inks and Pigments!
These artist-quality printmaking products are suitable for use with artists of all skill levels. These materials can be utilized with either Akua Intaglio Inks or Akua Liquid Pigments.
Between Ink and Paper DVD - Length: 85 minutes. This DVD documents artist Catherine Kernan's quest for a less toxic studio, while also exploring the abilities of Akua Liquid Pigments and Akua Intaglio Inks.
Needle Applicator Set - This set is perfect for mark-making on monotype prints. It incudes 5 refillable bottles that each hold 1oz of Akua Liquid Pigments and 5 needle tips in 3 different types (steel angled, plastic flexible tip and plastic tapered cone tip). This is made for use with Akua Liquid Pigments only.
Pin Press - This portable press is perfect for light pressure printing processes, such as monotype, drypoint and collagraph. Great for artists on a budget, this pin press is an economical alternative to standard printmaking presses. It measures 20" long and can accomodate plates that are 19.75" or smaller. Made entirely from metal, its design provides a uniform contact between roller, plate and paper.
Printmaking Plates - Made from 100% crystal clear c tint PETG plastic, these printmaking plates are ideal for monotype, carborundum, collgraph and drypoint processes, because of their soft and malleable surfaces. They are durable, but softer than printmaking plates made from polycarbonate. Artists will enjoy absolutely no ghosting images, easily incised lines and a smooth transfer from ink to paper with Akua Printmaking Plates.
Safer Printmaking DVD - Length: 53 minutes. This instructional DVD is an excellent educational tool for printmaking artists of all skill levels. Through its different chapters, artists will delve into techniques and process of a multitude of different types of printmaking. Some of these include monotype, printing without a press, Japanese woodblock, and intaglio.
